EPA to hold teleconference for general public comments on Repeal of the 2015 Clean Water Rule

TCWN members and other concerned citizens interested in submitting comments on EPA’s plan to gut the Clean Water Rule have one last opportunity to comment on the proposal.

EPA is holding a teleconference for general public to make verbal comments on the proposed new rule. The teleconference for the general public will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 1-3 PM EST.

In addition to having the teleconference just two days before Thanksgiving to make it as inconvenient as possible, EPA is also forcing interested participants to pre-register for the teleconference. This doesn’t give you much confidence that any of the comments will be taken seriously or that EPA will do anything other than continue their plans for demolishing the 2015 Clean Water Rule.

Follow this link to register for the teleconference. The deadline to register is November 14, 2017.

TCWN is participating in an earlier teleconference on the same subject on September 26, 2017. The Sept. 26 teleconference is for environmental and advocacy groups to voice their comments on changing the 2015 Clean Water Rule.

There is still time to make written comments on the change. You have until September 28, 2017, to make your comments through the federal website for rule-making comment. Follow this link by September 28 to urge the EPA not to make changes to the 2015 Clean Water Rule.
