goals
what we work toward
Advocate for strong policies and programs that result in more effective protection of Tennessee waters.
Ensure meaningful and engaged public participation in the protection of our state’s waters.
Address community concerns about water quality and how it impacts health and quality of life and our natural resources.

history
statewide collaboration
In 1998, citizen watershed groups from across Tennessee met to address clean water issues and discuss the future of the watershed movement in the state. These watershed representatives agreed that a statewide organization was needed to provide leadership on critical clean water issues and also offer capacity building. Based on these needs, TCWN was formed.
