Randall Arendt Presentation, March 22:

A workshop focusing on innovative development design as a conservation tool will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at the Knoxville Hyatt Hotel's Mississippi Room.  This workshop will be conducted by Randall Arendt, a nationally-known land-use planner, author and lecturer, and will focus on development of site designs that preserve and protect natural features and incorporate community open space networks.

This training is part of a series of Watershed Improvement Workshops sponsored by TVA's Melton Hill Watershed Team and offered in conjunction with the 10TH Annual Southeastern Lakes Conference  (www.don-Anderson.com/senalms2001/ for information about the  conference).  By special arrangements with the conference, Mr. Arendt's workshop will be open to the public.  There is no charge to attend, however pre-regestration is required.  Register by sending an e-mail to Tom McDonough ([email protected]) or by calling (865) 988-2440.

 

Directions to the Hyatt Hotel:  From I-40, take James White Parkway (Exit 389 A from west or B from east). Take Summitt Hill Drive exit and turn left onto Summitt Hill Drive. Go to first traffic light and turn right onto Hall of Fame Drive. Go to fourth traffic light and turn left onto East Hill Avenue. Hyatt will be on left.
