Secret City Dragon Boat Races

Registration is open for the Secret City Dragon Boat Races. Get the Ride of your Life Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Melton Hill Marina in Oak Ridge. REGISTRATION FOR 2016 IS OPEN!

The 8th fastest growing sport in the world and the most fun, unique cultural event featuring adrenaline-pumping action, dragon boat racing grows in popularity each year is coming to downtown Knoxville! Teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and steerer race in authentic Hong Kong-style, 46-foot-long dragon boats. All ages, skill levels and physiques can participate, making it the ultimate team building sport, requiring synchronicity and finesse, more than power to win. Bring your Best!

Team Captain – The team captain leads the effort to recruit the team, keep them informed (we will keep you informed) and encourage team members to raise pledges.

Team Co-Captain – The team co-captain helps and supports the captain. The team captain may assign the co-captain certain tasks to help with the process.

Registration Fee – The fee is $1,000 for corporate teams and $850 for non-profit teams on or before April 21, 2016.

It’s $900 for non-profits and $1,200 for corporate teams after April 21, 2016.

Team Benefits – On-water practice session, at least two heats on race day, company/team name on Web site, team building like none other and a community event that grows in popularity each year.
