Peter Silva, a senior policy advisor for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California was confirmed to head EPA’s water office.  Silva is a civil engineer with 32 years of experience in water and wastewater.  As the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water, Silva will oversee those programs implementing the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Water Act as well as a number of other laws which serve to prevent water pollution and improve water quality.  Silva has many challenges ahead of him, but we look forward to a fresh perspective at EPA and hope to see important changes in the near future!  Click on the link to read Silva’s response to Legislators’ questions.   Silva Senate Questions & Answers
