We still have a lot of work to do, keeping pressure on the Obama administration, the EPA and Depts of Interior and Transportation in the weeks and months and years ahead. There is a lot of concern that the federal stimulus package will not carry the directives and restrictions necessary to rein in the kinds of development (highways as well as other construction) that are destructive of communities and our natural resources, instead of being dedicated to repairing existing infrastructure and securing and protecting our natural resources. Letters to your Congressional Representatives are needed now (the legislation is being written now) asking for restrictions and directives.
